How Often Do You Lift Weights?

Hi pals! Today, I want to talk about the health of our muscles and the benefits of weight lifting.  Did you know there are about 600 muscles in our body?   Their main functions are pumping blood, supporting any movement such as lifting weights, giving birth, and many more, by contracting or relaxing them. This movement could be voluntary or involuntary. In addition, they support internal organs and protect them. I won't get into too many details, but I want to emphasize that we need to maintain healthy muscles to live!!!

Even though I like to mix various exercise modalities daily, I try to lift weights two to three times per week because of these multiple benefits.

Weight liftings can :

-improve bone density

-fight osteoporosis

-increase strength and muscle endurance

-maintain muscle tissue

-burn body fat

-maintain balance and flexibility

-lower the risk of diabetes and weight

-boost energy level and mood

-improve appearance

-reduce risk of injuries

-boost self-confidence.

It is essential to have a recovery time for your body. Resting 24-48 hours between sessions for the same muscle groups is recommended for the repair process.  Otherwise, it might lead to injuries and muscle imbalances.  Please seek a professional before you start weight lifting because improper forms could lead to severe injuries.  Have a great Saturday!  Love you all.
